That is right, ladies and gentlemen, the PGA tour (and some LIV Golfers) are back at Augusta National Golf Club for The Masters tournament. The first major of the PGA Tour season is expected to be full of headlines, from Tiger Woods chasing a 6th green jacket to any LIV golfer competing come Sunday afternoon. It all gets underway on Thursday, April 6th.
As an avid golf observer and horrible amateur player: The Masters is the pinnacle of the four majors in my mind. It is the only major that doesn’t rotate courses every year, and it doesn’t get any better than Augusta National. I will have my eyes on Tiger Woods, as I do whenever he plays any tournament, not only going for his aforementioned 6th green jacket but also his 83rd career victory: which would be the most all-time.

There are so many headlines to keep up with. However, nobody is talking about one big headline: who will be in the crowd on the 16th tee come Sunday? If you followed Tiger Woods’ victory in 2019, then you saw 23-time Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps watching Tiger hit his tee shot at the 16th hole. You may have also seen a woman who was repeatedly mistaken for the alleged murderer Carole Baskin.

This is the only time we really get a good look at the gallery at Augusta National, so I want to see who brings the flair. This is a huge moment because not only is it a pivotal hole down the stretch for those contending, it is a chance for you to get on TV during one of the most watched events of the year. I want to see some crazy outfits at the most prestigious course in North America.
It’s such a limited crowd at that tee box, and because of that, the patrons stand out more than anywhere. I would love to see some of the following attire in the background of these shots:

Any of these outfits would confuse the commentators, the golfers would be all thrown off, and I would die laughing. The PGA Tour wants to make golf more accessible and grow the game. They let people wear banana costumes and tiger outfits in most venues. Augusta National doesn’t even allow cell phone use. This would be so much fun to see during the most pivotal time in the year’s first major. Fred Riley, the chairman of Augusta National, hear my prayers. Let the people be ridiculous, and make golf more like Happy Gilmore!
